For 8 years, we have been a proud, family-owned part of the El Paso community. Founded by El Pasoans for El Pasoans, our mission is to deliver new and exciting entertainment right here in the 915.

Our Journey of Innovation
Operation Outbreak was born in 2017 after our founders experienced their first escape room in Spokane, Washington. Inspired to bring that excitement home, we opened our doors in October 2017 with our first adventure, the Sherlock Holmes-inspired “Baker Street Mystery.”
Since then, our history is one of constant growth and commitment to quality:
- 2018 - 2019: We rapidly expanded our lineup, adding major hits like “Rapture Bank Heist” and the intense “Last Breath.”
- 2020 - 2021: We began refreshing our lineup, replacing early games with new concepts like “TNT” (later updated to “Cartel” in 2024) and launching the terrifying “Asylum,” which quickly became the go-to horror room in town.
- 2022: We expanded our facility to accommodate new experiences, breaking ground on a new suite to open the adventurous “Temple of Doom.”
- 2023 - 2025: We continue to innovate, launching the sci-fi thriller “Area 915” in 2023 and opening our most acclaimed rooms to date, “La Llorona” and “JIGSAW,” in 2025.

Operation Outbreak is a family-owned escape game based in El Paso, Texas. For over 6 yeas, we have provided the Southwest area with immersive, unforgettable escape room games. Consistently voted as the best Escape Room in the area we continue to open new experiences that push the boundaries. Operation Outbreak was established by El Pasoans for El Pasoans who are looking for new and exciting adventures!
Operation Outbreak’s Timeline:
- March 2017: Operation Outbreak’s founders partook in an escape room in Spokane, Washington for the first time. This experience inspired the founders to open their own escape room in the El Paso area. After gathering enough information on how to start up an escape room, the founders took the next step.
- June: The founders begin to look for Operation Outbreak’s future home in El Paso.
- September: The founders find the perfect spot for Operation Outbreak, 4530 Montana Suite E.
- October: Operation Outbreak opens its doors to the public with their first room, the Sherlock Holmes-inspired “Baker Street Mystery.”
- December: Operation Outbreak opens its second room, the zombie-themed “Escape the Undead” room.
- October 2018: A new room, “Rapture Bank Heist” opens!
- June 2019: A new room, “Burial At Sea” opens!
- October 2019: A new room, “Last Breath” opens!
- September 2020: “Escape the Undead” becomes the first room to be retired at Operation Outbreak after 3 years
- October 2020: “TNT” opens its doors transporting players to an underground mine
- June 2021: Rapture Bank goes through a transformation and is completely remade and known as “Rapture Bank 2.0”
- October 2021: The room that started it all, “Baker Street Mystery” is retired and construction begins on our newest adventure.
- December 2021: “Asylum” opens its horror filled doors and cements its place as the go to horror room in town!
- September 2022: Operation Outbreak expands yet again and breaks ground on a new suite!
- December 2022: “Temple of Doom” becomes the first room to open at our new space!
- December 2023: “Area 915” is launched taking players into a frightening space station!
